Water Pollution- Can cause epidemics as typhoid, cholera, dysentery. What is sewer – Sewer is drain, drainpipe, drainage pipe, gutter, sewage system, septic tank, leech field, city sewage, sewage disposal, Sanitary facility. What is sewage – Excrement, waste matter, residue. Sewage consists of pathogenic bacteria that cause disease typhoid, typhus and hepatitis. The gastro enteric diseases are contracted from eating the fishes that live in the sewage polluted water. Thus purification of sewage is must for the health of the people of that country. The treatment of the sewage remove small fraction of dissolved nitrates and phosphates. . The nutrients from the sewage plants lead to depletion of oxygen where the effluent is discharged. This is also causing damage to the coastal ecosystem. What is water pollution: A change in the water which stops the further use of this water. It could be due to addition of chemical material of organic and inorganic nature. It is because of agricultural and industrial activities expansion. In order to control the environmental pollution, the organizations, city authorities, countries are giving big attention to control the water pollution. Some Historical facts say that the waterways which were the main source of transportation in earlier times and water supply. Later the contaminated water started coming to these waterways. Industrial waste also dumped here. The Water Pollution- Can cause epidemics as typhoid, cholera, dysentery started due t this sewerage travelling to these water ways.. In the 18th century the bacterial infections were connected to these water pollution problems { The bacteria and germs were not connected to these diseases for long time to come. The well known epidemic of the Broad Street pump in London during 1854 was the result of water supply Pollution. There were 616 deaths due to polluted water in the well. There after the treated water from highly modern technological plants was supplied to the buildings by Pipes. Special sewer pipes were constructed to drain out the waste water to water treatment plants. This water is finally sent to the water ways after the desired level of purification.
