The third launch event of Amazon bestseller Gulabi Khanjar was held today at Aaghaaz, an event by Kavishala, in Lucknow. The event saw the presence of renowned Dastangoi artist and author Dr. Himanshu Vajpayee, along with senior journalist Naval Kant Sinha.
The authors of Gulabi Khanjar, Dilip Pandey and Chanchal Sharma, also graced the occasion, discussing the book’s significance and historical relevance. The novel, categorized as historical fiction, has been a topic of discussion in literary circles for the past few months. Since its announcement in Bhopal in October, followed by its cover launch at Sahitya Aaj Tak in November, and its pre-order release on Amazon in December—where it reached the top spot in the historical fiction category and the third position in overall book rankings within 18 hours—it has garnered widespread attention.
At the launch event in Lucknow, the esteemed guests shared their insights on the book’s theme and narrative style. Author Dilip Pandey elaborated on the choice of title, providing historical context, while co-author Chanchal Sharma highlighted why Gulabi Khanjar is a must-read. She also shed light on the strong female characters in the novel, emphasizing their significance and depth.
